The Céadaoin Collective

The Céadaoin Collective bring their blend of Irish traditional and contemporary folk to Tuar Ard Arts Centre on Saturday, August 29th at 8pm.

Featuring Emma O’Reilly, Robert Harvey, Carmel Whelan, Andrew Kin Yip Yau and Niall Mannion, the group brings together highly regarded singers, instrumentalists and multi-instrumentalists with national and international performance experience.

This concert forms part of the group’s inaugural Irish tour and will include the first full performance of Emma O’Reilly’s new EP, Sailing Home, in arrangements created specially for the group. Audiences can also expect new music from Carmel Whelan, traditional selections from Robert Harvey, and fresh arrangements of folk tunes by Andrew Kin Yip Yau.

With rich vocals, flute, fiddle, cello, guitar and contemporary folk arrangements, this promises to be a warm and intimate night of new Irish music.

Support comes from Keeve, the musical project of Athlone-based singer-songwriter Kevin Donohoe, whose music blends melodic songwriting with indie and alternative rock influences.
