Candlelight Tales – Feasts and Fighting

Candlelit Tales was founded by sibling storytellers Aron and Sorcha Hegarty. Driven by a passion for Irish mythology, we tell stories in an expressive, naturalistic and modern style. Live music is the heartbeat of all our performances, and a live original music score composed by a team of talented musicians drives the rhythm of the storytelling, weaving through the tale and sweeping the listener away.

We’re delighted to be bringing our storytelling and music style to Moate this November. And we are bringing stories to fit the season… Irish style!

It’s the time of year for feasting, after all, for gathering around a roaring hearth-fire to break bread with your nearest and dearest. And as the company gathers and tongues begin to wag, tales are told, and old grievances aired. And as we come closer together, we start to remember why we stayed apart for most of the rest of the year, as the biggest fights always follow the tastiest feasts!
