Thanks for the Dance – The Leonard Cohen Story

Step into the world of Leonard Cohen with Cohen Unlimited, an acclaimed Irish ensemble bringing his songs, poetry and stories vividly back to the stage.

Led by singer and guitarist Robert Doyle, the show moves through Cohen’s remarkable songbook, with the stories behind the music woven between each performance. Doyle also shares memories of meeting Leonard Cohen in 1979, when Cohen invited him to sing for him and his band.

With rich vocals, violin, keyboards, guitars and a striking visual backdrop, Thanks for the Dance recreates the mood and intimacy of Cohen’s final world tour. The programme includes much-loved classics alongside songs from Cohen’s final two albums that he never had the opportunity to perform live.

Following sold-out performances around Ireland, including Dublin’s Gaiety Theatre, Cohen Unlimited comes to Tuar Ard for an evening of music, memory and storytelling. A deeply felt celebration of one of the greatest songwriters of our time.
