SUMMARY:Tadhg J Devery presents A Day in the Country
DESCRIPTION:After the success of A Day in the Country\, Tadhg J Devery returns to Tuar Ard with a brand-new\, bigger and completely unhinged comedy show. With roots in acting\, farming and building\, Tadhg’s sharp wit and authentic rural humour have earned him a devoted following across Ireland. \nIn Pints\, Dentures & Rock ’n’ Roll\, Tadhg unleashes a fresh cast of misfits from a small village where nothing is normal and everyone is a walking disaster. Expect fed-up farmers\, drunken plumbers\, failed musicians\, thrifty undertakers and guards hypnotised by trad music all played at breakneck speed by one man. \nFast-paced\, wildly imaginative and packed with laugh-out-loud moments\, this is Tadhg at his hilarious best. If you’re looking for a good night out\, you’ll struggle to find one more chaotic or more entertaining. \n

SUMMARY:Fourth Wall Laois Theatre Group presents Moll by John B. Keane
DESCRIPTION:John B. Keane’s Moll is a much-loved comedy set in a rural presbytery in the late 60s / early 70s. With the departure of their long-serving housekeeper\, a canon and his two curates begin interviewing candidates for the role. Moll arrives with high standards and little patience for clerical indecision\, quickly taking control of the presbytery and unsettling the young Fr. Brest in particular. \nKeane’s trademark humour and keen observation make for a charming evening that asks one simple question: who will break first\, Moll or the clergy? A warm\, clever and highly entertaining evening of classic Irish theatre with laughs throughout. \nDirected by Kevin Lalor Fitzpatrick \nGet Tickets

SUMMARY:April Movie Night - Souleymane’s Story
DESCRIPTION:Tuesday 14th April 2026 at 8pm \nSouleymane is an asylum seeker from Guinea living in Paris\, forced to join the daily rush for a bed in a homeless shelter. Unable to work legally\, he earns some money by ‘renting’ someone else’s work profile on a food delivery app. He also pays a fellow Guinean to coach him in a false story seen as more likely to pass an imminent asylum review. But it’s clear Souleymane’s true home situation is taking a constant emotional toll as he navigates the streets of Paris alone. \nAnchored by an extraordinary lead performance from Abou Sangaré\, Souleymane’s Story is a raw\, compassionate and quietly devastating story about one man forced to live precariously on the fringes of society. \nDirector: Boris Lojkine (2024)\nRuntime: 94 mins.\nGenre: Drama\nLanguage: French\, Fula and Maninka with English Subtitles\nCertificate: 12A
