SUMMARY:Declan Nerney - Round and Round Concert Tour 2025
DESCRIPTION:With Special Guests John McNicholl and John Hogan \nDeclan was born in Drumlish\, Co Longford at a unique period of time in the music scene worldwide. A revolution in rock and pop brought us The Beatles\, Elvis and the Rolling Stones\, while here in Ireland the magnificent showband boom was about to explode. As young man Declan was heavily influenced by these greats and got the opportunity to see most of the top showbands appear in his native town of Drumlish. He would cajole his mother into seeing Joe Dolan\, Big Tom\, Philomena Begley\, The Capital Showband and many more perform when they appeared at the marquee at the end of May and early June. From his vantage point close to the stage\, he would absorb every move made by the guitarist in the bands\, watching fingers slide along the strings\, hoping that one day he might be up there performing. Declan went on to have a super career that has spanned over four decades at the top of Irish Country Music winning many accolades along the way and scoring countless hits with his catalogue of trademark songs. Join Declan and his super live band with special guests John McNicholl and John Hogan for a nostalgic night of music\, song and laughter on the 2025 Round and Round concert tour. \nBook your tickets here or phone our box office on 090 6482042.

SUMMARY:Mary Coughlan - 40th Anniversary Tour
DESCRIPTION:RESCHEDULED EVENT\n\n\nMary Coughlan is one of Ireland’s greatest ever jazz and blues artists and is often spoken about in the same breath as singers like Peggy Lee and Billie Holliday. A prolific artist by anyone’s standards\, Coughlan is celebrating 40 years in music this year with a nationwide tour and new music to be released throughout 2024 – the first of which is ‘More Like Brigid’\, an homage to the original Goddess of Imbolc herself\, Brigid of Kildare.\n\n\nMary Coughlan says of her inspiration for writing this song: “Brigid was fierce and courageous and always went against the norm. She had a monastery and it was for men and women! I have been called ‘hysterical’ and ‘hormonal’ over the years by various industry figures for being so indignant as to ask to be paid for my work\, things like that… So\, needless to say\, my homage to Brigid has given me a chance to air some of those frustrations that are so often experienced by women.”\n\n\nMary Coughlan is one of our greatest singers because over 40 years she has made the most grown-up\, uncompromising\, wholly personal yet utterly universal music on either side of the Atlantic about what goes on between men and women. It’s hard to believe that four decades have passed since Coughlan went into the studio to record her debut album\, Tired and Emotional.\n\n\nBook your tickets here or phone our box office on 090 6482042.
